I wasn’t left alone with my thoughts for long. The doorbell rang, but I don’t know why they bothered because the boys came bounding through the door before the last chime sounded. Sam and Scott passed by the room I was in, headed directly to the living room to set up the movie and steal the best seats. Noah, on the other hand, was ever-aware of his surroundings and spotted me hurriedly wiping my tears away.
