I awaited Monday with a dreadful heaviness. I hadn’t seen Adaline since Saturday, and I knew I wouldn't see her again for another day. Between school, football practice, and my mother’s insistence that I come directly home after practice, my day would be long and torturous. I wanted to see Adaline.
