Hunter stood in the darkened coffee shop, letting his gaze drift across the open space. Bruno’s looked a lot different after hours, with the lights off and all the tables pushed to the side. And with the fancy table set up in the center, the tuxedoed waiter, and the musician playing softly in the corner, it almost seemed romantic. Oh, please, let her think it’s romantic, Hunter thought. He still couldn’t help but feel that maybe he’d gone overboard with all this, that she might think it was cheesy.
