Sometimes you expect certain things to be true without a lot of thought, an assumption based on evidence gathered throughout your life experience. Most times, those assumptions are correct, but on occasion, you can be surprised. I’d assumed the entire town would have some opinion, something to say about Adam and me as a couple. I assumed everyone would lecture us about how it was likely a phase or something to get us through the rough times.
