The Misunderstanding

Fiona stood in the same place for nearly an hour, staring at the headstone that marked the place her first love had been laid to rest years ago. She visited Patrick often, but over the years, her reason for visiting had changed. She used to go to feel closer to him, to cry, and wish things had been different, but now she went there when she needed to think. It was the quietest, most peaceful place she could think of, and Patrick was always good with advice.
