The alarm clock went off way before I was ready, and I knew once we made it to Hawaii, we would need to take a step back to breathe. It had been a whirlwind of driving and activities, not to mention the stress we both had in our individual lives. Compound that with the raw emotion I felt whenever I read one of the telegrams, and I was in overdrive.
