I couldn’t pay attention in class after meeting Mattie Bender. In fact, I couldn’t pay attention the entire week, because as quickly as she appeared, the crazy girl disappeared. I expected her to show up at my house every morning, eat my things, drop me on the floor, then go back home to her incredibly awesome internship, but not only did she not show up, she flat out disappeared from the face of the earth. And it drove me nuts!
