Chapter Twenty-Three: Building a Character's Arc

I’ve touched on most of these in some form in the sections above, however, let me just run down my quick “definitely don’t forget to address these things” list for developing a character’s arc in your story. Not every character will have a complete arc... but your main character(s) definitely should. And ideally, the arcs should in some way connect or conflict with one another, and with the external (plot) arc. We’ll discuss that more in the chapters on plotting.
