After Grammy Baker showed up, it was all-out chaos in the house. The adults spent hours catching up despite my mother’s claim we were getting up early to go tree shopping. Luckily though, her arrival meant they didn’t pay much attention to what the younger generation was doing, so the girls and I took our food to the room I shared with Elora to eat.
