Spending time with Mattie always sucked me into a vacuum and made me forget about school, but I was rudely reminded by my alarm clock at six the next morning. I was shocked to find I’d slept nearly nine hours. My morning improved significantly when I saw my phone flashing, indicating I had a message. It was from Mattie, of course.
