Christmas came and went. I had spent a few hours with Adaline, leaving with her a simple gift. Her affinity with black and white photography was made obvious earlier in the week when I explored her bedroom, so I got her a silver picture frame, but I had some difficulty deciding what to put in it. I didn’t want to give her an empty frame, that was just too sad, so I wracked my brain for a day and a half before realizing the answer was right there all along.
