Chapter Fourteen

I couldn’t stop staring at Oliver’s parents. I could see Oliver in both, not only in their appearance but also in their personalities and mannerisms. Despite the doctor believing I was Oliver’s fiancé, he still would not tell me anything more until his parents arrived, something about not being able to reach them for further permission to release information… or was it paperwork? I had no idea, but I wasn’t surprised. I wasn’t actually his fiancé, but it did serve me well for a while. One nurse took pity on me and told me he was stable, but it didn’t tell me anything about his condition going forward.
