Chapter Four

If I thought the day was long and stressful, I was in for a shock when dinner rolled around. It was an absolute madhouse, much worse than the night before considering Grammy Baker was there, and her food was to die for. Add the boxes of decorations that had yet to be meticulously placed where my mother and Aunt Ashley wanted them, and the mess sort of spread to every room of the home. Aunt Claire’s eye twitched, which meant her OCD kicked in, and she started wandering the house, picking up little bits of the mess here and there.
