“You ready for this, Pistolis?” Chase asked after lacing up his cleats. We’d spent another half hour with the gang, then made our way to the park. I had hoped our afternoon game would make up for my distracted practice that morning, but after Chase’s admission, I wasn’t so sure I would be on my best game.
