Matthew sat in class, earphones in. The professor was droning on about Physics, but Matthew had lost interest. He cared about doing well in the class, but the professor was answering the same question for about the dozenth time, because apparently the other students in the class couldn’t pay attention. Matthew had zoned out around the ninth time the professor started re-explaining the vocabulary from the latest chapter, and instead pulled out his laptop and put in his earphones to listen to some music. He was graded on attendance in this class, so he couldn’t leave, but he may as well make the most of the time. Besides, the professor didn’t seem to care whether a student pulled out a computer and earphones. In fact, about a fourth of the class were sound asleep and drooling on their desks, and the professor hadn’t even seemed to notice.
