Chapter 12 - Hunter

Hunter’s phone alarm went off and he groaned, reaching out with one hand to find the source of the beeping. His hand found his phone on the floor beside the couch, where he had plugged it in to charge. He lifted it toward his face, blinking blurry eyes at the glowing screen. 8:00 AM, it said. Snooze or Cancel? Hunter swiped his thumb toward Snooze and dropped the phone back onto the floor. He was too tired to get up yet. But wasn’t there something he was supposed to do today? Or somewhere he needed to be?
