Accidents Happen

After the Spring Formal, the rest of the school year flew by in a flurry of exams and college applications. I waited with anxious excitement for replies. Truly, there was only one reply that mattered, and it hadn’t arrived yet. I was beginning to think it would never come, or perhaps they were so backed up with rejection letters that mine hadn’t been sent yet. There was ample reason for them to reject me. Even with a 4.0, I lacked a lot of the fluff that usually made the difference.
